Around January 2024, bagohan pa lang akong pumasok sa travel agency business. Nung time na yun, wala akong masyadong alam sa tools na gagamitin dahil hindi pa ako nakapag attend ng webinar and tutorials.
Nag explore explore ako sa tools ko. Initially, may ₱2500 pesos kaming wallet sa account namin to book travels, add baggage, and other services.
At that time sobrang excited ko umuwi ng probinsya namin sa Bohol pero walang byahe si 2Go Shipping sa port na malapit samin tapos medyo lagpas 2k din ang price.
So ayun, nag explore ulit ako sa Airlines. Nag move ng dates hanggang nakita ko yung available schedule from Cebu to Bohol na worth 2k+ pesos. Connecting flight sya from Cebu to Davao, then Davao to Bohol.
Nung mag check out na ako, nakita ko sa price 3k pesos na. So I thought, itutuloy ko nalang ang pag check out kasi di rin aabot yung funds sa wallet ko.
I don't know what happened, but nag go through yung Booking ko!
Ako kasi mismo ang travel agent, tapos ako rin yung passenger na nagka problema sa booking dahil I did not want the flight, I was just testing my tools kung legit ba talaga.
Chinat ko ng chinat si Philippine Airlines and also went to the extent of getting on phone with the CSR sa WhatsApp, but they've always pushed me back sa system ko since ako ang travel agent.
Ang ending, I asked help from my superiors na ma cancel yung booking and mabigyan ako ng refund. Na processed naman agad ang refund but hindi na sya complete dahil kasali na service charge don.

Lesson learned: Natuto na akong magbasa ng fare rules. As I read through some of it, nabasa ko na si Philippine Airlines lang ang aming partner airlines na willing mag refund ng bookings within time frame. Other airlines, usually travel credit, and reschedule na lang. But it still depends if it is a domestic or international flight. Bawat airline may kanya kanyang fare rules.
Another lesson learned, mag attend ng webinar and training, and huwag mag testing ng tools.
